CollectEdNY CUNY HSE Education Curriculum Framework

CollectEdNY has information about the CUNY (City University New York) High School Education Curriculum Framework. The framework provides direction, structure, and materials for teaching math, science, and social studies (integrated with reading and writing). Visit the CollectEdNY website to learn more.

CollectEdNY CUNY Fast Track GRASP Math Packets

Visit CollectEdNY to learn more about the CUNY (City University New York) Fast Track GRASP Math Packets. The packets provide practice in the high-priority areas on the TASC exam. The information is designed to introduce topics to students and help them practice applying what they have learned in context. The resources are free and available for download.

CommonLit

Teachers and students can register for a free account on the CommonLit website for reading and literary resources. The website features resources in Spanish and English for students at a variety of reading levels and allows teachers to track student progress.

CROWDEDLearning SkillBlox

CrowdedLearning provides free accessible learning tools for adult learners. The organization launched the SkillBlox program—a free learning plan generation tool that pulls together learning materials both from publisher resources and free and open education resources (OER) and organizes them by skill to provide an increased range of learning options for students.

Kentucky Skills U Lesson Bank

The Kentucky Skills U Lesson Bank is a repository of standards-based units and lessons created by Kentucky Skills U instructors. Kentucky Skills U has developed a process for lesson acceptance which includes a template with specific guidance on what should be included in each section, and a rubric for scoring. The LINCS Community is a professional learning space that brings together adult education teachers, program managers, and professional developers worldwide who are working toward one common goal – to provide high-quality, evidence-based learning opportunities to adult students. Literacy Minnesota

Literacy Minnesota offers a wealth of adult education resources and training videos for educators. The ESL instructional resources are excellent for adult learners who need additional foundational learning support such as activities focused on phonics and reading.

ReadWorks

ReadWorks is an online learning tool for students at all reading levels. The site features reading activities, teacher guidance, and integrated tools aimed at improving teacher effectiveness and student achievement.

Teachers Investigating Adult Numeracy (TIAN) Bundles

TIAN Bundles are resources designed to encourage teachers to explore math with peers and provide examples of math-related activities for students. Visit the TIAN website for access to five bundles at no cost.

The Adult Basic Skill Professional Development program at Appalachian State University provides a variety of teaching resources including information on vocabulary lessons, argument writing, persistence research, and social studies. Learn American English Online is a free website that helps students across the globe improve English grammar and vocabulary skills. The site includes seven levels of instruction for beginners to advanced levels.
